Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, The Royal Society of Fine Arts (RSOFA) will be hosting an art exhibition titled “70 Years of Contemporary Jordanian Art”, set to take place at the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts on May 21st, 2013. The event will showcase over 200 works created by 195 Jordanian artists from different generations.

برعاية جلالة الملكة رانيا العبدالله تنظم الجمعية الملكية للفنون الجميلة/ المتحف الوطني الأردني للفنون الجميلة معرضاً شاملاً للفن التشكيلي الأردني بعنوان “70 عاماً من الفن الأردني المعاصر” وذلك يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 21 ايار 2013 في المتحف الوطني الأردني للفنون الجميلة.
وسيشارك في المعرض 195 فنانة وفنانا تشكيليين من مختلف الأجيال باكثر من 200 عمل فني

This paintinga was based on the manuscript of Piri Reis, Reis was an Ottoman admiral, geographer and cartographer. He draw maps of the main cities in the Mediterranean  see.

The constellation drawing was inspired from the manuscript Kitab suwar al-kawakib written by Al-Sufi and can be found The Bibliothèque nationale de France, some parts can be found in the museum of Institut du monde arabe in Paris
